NAMPA, Idaho — A new era in basketball began in May at Northwest Nazarene, and now new head men's basketball coach
Scott Flemming is set to introduce fans to the newest addition to the Crusaders on the hardwood.
Coach Flemming is pleased to announce the signing of three transfers who will join the NNU men's basketball team this fall, incoming junior
Kyle Bailey, incoming sophomore Marko Lepovic and incoming freshman Dylan Brink.
Bailey transfers after playing two seasons at Biola in California, an NAIA school, while Lepovic joins NNU after one season at Modesto Junior College in California. Brink transfers to NNU from Olivet Nazarene (Ohio), though he did not play for the Tigers.
All three will make their NNU debut on the hardwood during the 2015-16 season for the Crusaders.
Here is a look at the newest members of the Crusader men's basketball team: KYLE BAILEY (BIOLA & UNIVERSITY HS IN SPOKANE, WASH.)
Kyle BaileyA 6-foot-6 guard who played in 64 games in two seasons for the NAIA Eagles, Bailey most recently averaged 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game during the 2012-13 season before taking two years off from collegiate basketball.
As a freshman at Biola, Bailey played in 35 games for the Eagles.
"Kyle is a versatile and experienced player," Coach Flemming said. "He has the ability to play three different positions. He is an inside-outside player who can shoot the 3-ball and score inside.
"He has a maturity that will be needed with this young team," NNU's new coach added. "Kyle has the ability to make an immediate impact on our program. He is a great young man who will be a leader on our team and on our campus. He is a young man of strong faith and it is evident that it is a priority in his life."

Dylan BrinkA 6-foot-1 guard who attended Olivet Nazarene (Ohio) last year, but did not play collegiate basketball, Brink is the brother of Crusader baseball player Colton Brink.
The 2014 graduate of Erie High School averaged 18.9 points per game as a senior, earning Second-Team All-State honors along with First-Team Tri-Valley All-Conference, Weld County and BoCo All-Region honors. The Time-Call Player of the Year, Brink also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals per game as a senior for the Tigers.
Away from the hardwood, Brink also played baseball, was named Academic All-State for three years, was the Erie HS Student-Athlete of the Year in 2014 and the Valedictorian.
"Dylan is a shooting guard who is a very efficient 3-point shooter," Flemming said, adding, "he is an excellent student and will no doubt contribute to our team off the court as well. His faith is a priority in his life and I am anticipating that he will be a spiritual leader on our team and on our campus. I am very glad to include him in this year's recruiting class."
MARKO LEPOVIC (MODESTO & IMG ACADEMY IN BRADENTON, FLA.)
Marko LepovicA 6-foot-5 guard, the native of Kragujevac, Serbia, played one season for the Pirates where he averaged 8.3 points and 6.9 rebounds playing in 26 games and starting 23 for Modesto Junior College.
Lepovic made his transition to America by attending the prestigious IMG Academy in Florida for his senior year of high school.
"Marko is a good all-around player who will primarily play at the small-forward position for us," Flemming said. "He played on the Norway U20 national team with (Crusader junior)
Bouna N'Diaye.
"Marko is a good perimeter shooter and really rebounds the ball well at his position," NNU's coach added. "His former coaches couldn't say enough about his work ethic and leadership ability. He also brings a 4.0 GPA with him."
