BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Powered by the offensive efforts of Erik Anderson and Fredy Razo, the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team notched its fourth straight win, beating host Western Washington 2-0 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action Thursday night.

"I'm really proud of the guys tonight," NNU head men's soccer coach Coe Michaelson said. "We've been talking about putting 90 quality minutes together and tonight we did that."

The Crusaders got going early as Anderson scored his sixth goal of the season with 28 minutes, 45 seconds gone in the game off a Julio Castillo assist.

NNU (5-1 overall, 2-0 GNAC) maintained that lead into the second half, then iced the victory when Razo netted his third goal this season in the 78th minute off the second assist of the night from Castillo.

"Western is a very experience, very good team, but we were excellent down to the last man," said Michaelson.

Which included the play of Crusader goalkeeper, Alfredo E. Ontiveros, who made six saves in goal to earn his third shutout of the year and 12th of his career for NNU, which was slightly outshot in the contest, 13-11 by the Vikings (2-3-1, 0-1-1).

The Crusaders now travel north to Canada to play at Simon Fraser on Saturday.
