ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Northwest Nazarene University men's soccer team tied 0-0 in today's match up against Cal State- San Bernardino in St. George, Utah.
NNU was able to get off nine shots in the first 90 minutes of play while San Bernardino had 14, both teams were unsuccessful on the attempts, sending the game to extra time.
“It was a very tough opening weekend for us,” commented head coach
Coe Michaelson. “We played extremely tough in both games, I thought we were the better team in overtime today but unfortunately we couldn't convert on some opportunities, ending the game in draw.”
The Crusaders had 12 shots in regulation and six on target while San Bernardino had 16 shots with eight on target. NNU was able to get three shots off in the second overtime but unable to convert on the attempts.

Alfredo Ontiveros had eight saves, as Jeff Salt was able to stop six Crusader shots.
The Crusaders will be back on the field Thursday as they travel to San Rafael, California to take on Dominican University at 4:30 p.m.
