Barkdoll and Brady earn GNAC Player of the Week honors

SPOKANE, Wash. - Brian Barkdoll and Lindsay Brady have each been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference basketball Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office this morning.
 
Barkdoll (P, 6-10, So., Portland, OR – Central Catholic), honored for the second-straight week, scored 32 points and also had 22 rebounds and six assists to lead the Crusader men to wins over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage.  Barkdoll has had double-doubles in three of his last four games, averaging 19 points and 11 ½ rebounds and shooting 67.5 percent (27 of 40).  He made 11 of 18 shots against the Nanooks and Seawolves and had 17 rebounds against UAA.
 
Brady (G, 5-8, Jr., Boise, ID – Bishop Kelly) scored 43 points and also had seven rebounds and five steals as the Crusader women continued their late season playoff push, extending their win streak to five with road victories at Western Oregon and Saint Martin's this past weekend. 
 
Brady made 15 of 21 shots, including three of four three-pointers, in the two contests.  She had 28 points, including a key basket with 1:13 left and four free throws in the final 37 seconds, in Saturday's 84-77 win at Saint Martin's.
 
Both teams will play twice this week, with the men's team hosting Walla Walla University tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. and Montana State Billings on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. 
 
The Lady Crusaders will be in home action on Thursday against Central Washington at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday against Seattle Pacific, tip-off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
