LOGAN, Utah - Louie Beech scored 10 points to lead the Northwest Nazarene University men's basketball team in an 85-51 exhibition loss at NCAA Division I Utah State, played at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan.

Brian Barkdoll and Anthony Golden each added eight points and Barkdoll and Kendall Gielow each hustled for seven rebounds.

Utah State was led by Nate Bendall and Tai Wesley who both scored 17, while Preston Medlin added 12 and Tyrone White scored 11.  The Aggies shot 60.8-percent (31-51) from the floor and finished with seven blocked shots and 13 steals.

The Crusaders were held to 29.0-percent (18-62) shooting from the field, but held their own on the glass, pulling down a total of 36 rebounds, 18 on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

Utah State finished with 38 rebounds, led by Bendall and Jared Quayle who each had six.

The Crusaders will continue the exhibition season against Northwest University on Saturday, November 7th, with a 4:30 p.m. tip-off against the Eagles at the Johnson Sports Center as part of the 2009 NNU Homecoming activities.
