Raybould finishes T-42 at NCAA D.II West/Northwest Super Regional Championships
PETALUMA, Calif. - Carding a final round 79, Northwest Nazarene University senior Dale Raybould finished tied for 42nd at the 2008 NCAA Division II West/Northwest Super Regional Golf Championships hosted by Sonoma State University at Adobe Creek Golf Club in Petaluma, California.

Raybould finished the 54-hole regional championships at 22-over par 238.  "Dale played well today in some tough conditions," commented NNU coach Craig Stensgaard.  "The wind blew all day and looking at the leaderboard following play, his round was in the middle of the pack this afternoon."

"Being selected as an individual competitor for the regional is a great honor and I am proud of the way Dale represented himself and NNU this week," Stensgaard added.

Grand Canyon's Ryan Sperry took medalist honors, shooting a final-round 69 for a 5-under par total of 211.

Host Sonoma State got the automatic berth to nationals, which will be held at Houston, Texas, on May 14-17.  The Seawolves led all the way, finishing 3-under par for a three-day, 54-hole total of 861 (299).  Western Washington, Grand Canyon and CSU-San Bernardino each earned at-large team bids to the national finals as well.

Colorado-Colorado Springs took the title and automatic bid from the Northwest Regional at 875, winning by 23 shots.
