BOISE, Idaho - Posting five event wins and 25 personal bests, the Northwest Nazarene University track & field team completed competition on Saturday in the second and final day of the All-Idaho Collegiate Cup, hosted by Boise State University at Bronco Stadium.

Dallas Beatty posted two individual wins, grabbing gold in both the 110-meter (15.8) and 400-meter (56.16) hurdles.  Also winning their events were Greg Hamm in the triple jump (44-6.25), Grant Miller in the discus (142-03) and the men's 4x400 relay team of Beatty, Matt Stark, Hamm and Mitch Ward.

Latoya Tidwell set a new NNU school record in the 200-meters, finishing third overall in the Crusader record time of 25.71.

Additional meet highlights included Ashley and Jaclyn Puga placing second (2:15.91) and third (2:16.92) in the 800-meters, Eric Zwiefelhofer finishing second in men's javelin at 192-6, just two and ½ feet off the NCAA provisional mark, Kevin Lambert placing third in the 5000-meters (15:32.74) and Laura VonArx with a bronze finish in the triple jump (34-09.75).

"In addition to all of our top-three finishes, we set 25 personal bests this weekend, so I am encouraged by the performance of our team," commented NNU head coach John Spatz.  On Friday, Ashley and Jacyln Puga finished one-two in the 1500-meters and Amy Carroll won the hammer throw, brining the total of NNU wins to seven, overall.

NNU Athletes of the Meet were Dallas Beatty and Latoya Tidwell.  Tidwell followed up her NNU record with a fourth place finish in the 100-meters (12.80).

The Crusaders will be in action next weekend at the Eastern Oregon Invitational in LaGrande, Oregon.
