SALEM, Ore. - The Northwest Nazarene women's cross country team finished 10th and the men were 19th as the Crusaders competed at the Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University on Saturday afternoon in Salem.

Ashley and Jaclyn Puga led the Crusader women's effort as Ashley finished 12th in 18:17.90 and Jaclyn 22nd in 18:43.48.

"The women's team ran a good race," commented NNU coach Ben Gall.  "We did what we set out to do and made good progress as a team."

Josh Wageman led the NNU men, taking 69th individually in 26:27.09.

"Josh led the men's team and both Caleb Reynolds and Greg DeSimmone ran great races," Gall added.  "Caleb really ran well today, taking a big step forward and Greg had a real quality effort."
